Poetry

doors

“Small eyes see only small things.”
They see them big and bright and beautiful
But only if they are given a chance to see them.
“Small eyes see only small things.”
We take for granted
We feel we have them forever
We ignore their impact
In fact, small eyes are wondrous
They see beyond recognition what we forget.
Hence they are dangerous.
See the hidden truth in teary eyes.
Feel the burden of a heavy heart.
Small eyes don’t see small things.
Unlike us: they are not windows to the soul but doors
